St. Paul's Church and Community Centre
celebrates it's official opening on
Sunday 6th June 2004

The Polish Church in Leicester was founded over 50 years ago and has remained a gathering place for Poles and their descendants. The previous Church and Community Centre was based at the Church of St.Paul in Dale Street, Leicester between 1965 to 2003. In November 2003 the Church and Community Centre relocated to Wakerley Rd, Leicester where the Polish Community will continue to celebrate its roots, traditions and culture.

The official opening of the new Church and Community Centre will take place during a ceremony that will be celebrated with a Mass. His Excellency Bishop Ryszard Karpiński Delegate to the Polish Conference of Bishops with Special Responsibility for Emigrι Poles will lead the religious celebration. The Mass will also be attended by many other invited priests and guests from Polish and English communities who have been connected with the Parish and Community over the years. During the Mass His Excellency Bishop Karpiński will administer the sacrament of confirmation to 15 young members of the Parish.
